ILLENIUM Flexes His Crossover Muscles with “Crashing”

ILLENIUM’s first single of 2019 crosses over into mainstream pop, and we’re hooked.

Colorado’s resident EDM hero ILLENIUM released his first song of 2019 in “Crashing,” featuring pop duo Bahari. The new single is far less dub-steppy and much more in line with crossover pop, making for a pleasantly upbeat and catchy tune that you’ll be playing on repeat over the weekend and beyond. It shouldn’t be a surprise that the song’s so catchy – it’s co-written with songwriting superstars Justin Tranter & Julia Michaels.

Everything about this song makes it a surefire radio hit, and we’re waiting for it to catch fire.

“Crashing” follows ILLENIUM’s single “God Damnit” featuring alternative artist Call Me Karizma. The single also strays from his natural EDM inclinations, matching the sound of the alternative EDM movement of artists like San Holo, Taska Black and DROELOE.

What we’re learning is that when ILLENIUM experiments with new sounds, everyone wins.
